This is a great way to practice graphing skills. It is basically a "connect the dots" activity where the students connect the points they plot to make a picture. Teaching graphing can be a dry lesson to teach. I have taught many years and these cartoon graphs get the students to practice in a way that is interesting and fun. Students can also automatically tell if they made a mistake because the picture doesn't look right. If students are done early, I have them color the pictures and the best ones end up decorating the room.
These graphs also make a great activity if you have a substitute and the students know how to do them. By the end of the school year my students are excellent at graphing because of all the practice they get with graphs like these.
This specific Mini-Book has the cartoon graphs for a Fighter Jet, Tank, Monster Truck, WWII P51 Mustang, Police Car, Race Car, and Sports Car
