This 14-page file is a teacher and student version of an Advanced Placement English Language Syllabus. This has been approved by the College Board. In my district, 11th grade is the year students take American Literature, and it is also when they take AP Language. Since they do not take both courses, AP students need to have a strong Am. Lit focus in the AP Language course. Therefore, this course combines AP Language Non-fiction rhetorical studies with American Literature.
The free preview download is an excerpt from the teacher version (weeks 3-5) and an excerpt from the student version. Each of the units is formatted as you see in weeks 3-5 sample (essential questions, readings, lesson/discussion topics, and assessments)
AUTHORIZED SYLLABUS NUMBER FOR SUBMISSION TO COLLEGE BOARD INCLUDED.
