This is a fantastic oral and written activity that includes an interview with a family member (this might meet some criteria for the community domain in some teacher evaluations!!). This is also a great practice with preterite, imperfect and el imperfecto del subjuntivo. I think this would pair well with the relaciones personales chapter in the 2014 AP Curriculum.
Activity #1-Students respond to questions about their own childhood and are encouraged to verify things with their parents if they don't remember all of it.
Activity #2-Students interview a parent, grandparents, uncle or aunt,etc. about things THEY did in their childhood. **Some families won't be able to interview in Spanish so the student will have to write their answers in Spanish.
Actvity #3-In class have students compare and contrast the two generations and also think about future generations.
