How the printable Advent calendar for kids works: there is one holly leaf for each day of Advent. The days of the week are labeled on the leaves, and the candles coordinate with the Sundays of Advent.

If you are using the black and white version, kids should color in one holly leaf each day during Advent and one candle each Sunday. This is a great way for kids to follow along as the Advent season goes by and we approach Christmas.
