This is a great set of Literacy Center activities to complement the story Adventure Annie Goes To Kindergarten
by Toni Buzzeo. They can be used in small groups or as a whole class. These projects are especially useful during those first days of school when you are working to establish procedures and routines.
Full of confidence and enthusiasm, Annie gets her backpack ready for any adventures she might encounter in kindergarten. She includes her walkie-talkies, binoculars, and even a hard hat in the backpack. Putting on her cape, she sets off for school only to find that there are more rules than adventures in kindergarten. However, she never looses her enthusiasm and finally gets her chance to shine when two children become lost while getting the milk for the class snack. Adventure Annie to the rescue! (You will need to provide your own copy of the book.)
