These alphabet adventure stories are perfect for learning letter sounds in a fun new way. They can be read during story time, used as the letter of the week program, shown on a projector, or used in many other ways.
This resource includes a story for each letter and its sound, along with a free coloring and tracing page. A five day activity plan is provided that includes ways that the children can use their senses to explore letters and their sounds.
"This program includes many developmentally appropriate activities for early learners, which adds to the fun of learning! Each story connects the name, symbol, and sound of each letter, so it is a comprehensive program that can prepare children for reading without boring drills." said Anita Zampedri, M.Ed. She also shared "the best feature is that (the stories) can be so interactive. When I read them, I had the kids say the letter sound with me, each time it came up in the story. Kids are not just passively listening to a story, they are involved in the storytelling and thinking about the sound they will be saying next."
Yvonne Doolhoff wrote these stories when she noticed her children had a hard time learning the letters from only seeing them on paper and talking about them. She started making up stories about the letters and their sounds and all of the sudden their knowledge of the letters and their sounds sky rocketed. We now pass this resource onto you in the hopes that it will help your students.
