Your class is half-way through your study of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and you want to liven things up a bit. Take a break from literary analysis and play a game! This 15-to-20-minute review game allows students to work together to dig back into the events of the first half of the novel, as they remember the places and characters that young Huck Finn has faced during his journey.
The game includes events from chapter 1 through chapter 27, right after Huck has stolen the gold from the King and the Duke and hidden it in Peter Wilks' coffin.
If you want to extend the activity, you could also have students choose three slips at random from their game pack and build character study notes or quote harvesting from those specific events.
