Need a practice of adverbs? This Smartboard activity is set up as a koosh ball game. It has twenty clip art teachers on a Smartboard page (see preview). These teachers are all linked to different question pages in the file. Just throw a bean bag or koosh ball at the teachers ( your kids will love aiming at the teacher :)) or have your student tap on the edge of the teacher to open the question. After they have answered the question, they can simply tap on the link on the school to go page back to the main board with the teachers for the next student. You can even divide your class into teams and keep score on the dry erase board if you'd like to use the activity that way.
This can be used as a whole class activity, a small group for centers, etc. It is great practice for basic adverbs. Types of questions included are: What is the adverb in the sentence? Does it answer how, when or where? It does not move into comparative adverbs. Answer key is included as the last slide of the file. Please see the preview for the types of pages included.
