Students need to identify adverbs so they can later tie this part of speech to their writing. This grammar station contains 60 sentences for students to find a variety of adverbs. Grammar stations allow students to move and gives the teacher an opportunity to circulate for individualized instruction.

You will receive a standards PDF and a digital version of this grammar station activity. I use this as a scaffolding activity when working on adverbs with older students.

The station work:

• 60 sentences divided among grammar stations with four sentences each.

→ Types of questions adverbs answer (to what extent, how, when, where)

→ Adverbs that end in -ly

→ Multiple adverbs in sentences

→ Basic practice with adverbs in sentences

• Student answer sheets

• An answer key

These adverb stations are also suitable for younger students learning about adverbs.
