It was used for upper-intermediate ESL students and adult learners in Thailand.
It is an interactive gap fill exercise in the form of an internet web page. It is an .htm file. If you open the file as normal (double click, or right click 'open') it will open in your default web browser. If you want to open it in an internet browser of your choice, right click it and use 'open with...'
Make sure ActiveX control is enabled in your web browser.
This exercise will work on interactive whiteboards (e.g. SmartBoard). The file can be used in class or emailed to students.
There are 'help' and 'hint' buttons too if the blanks are too difficult to guess straight away - but you lose score the more you use these. A score % is calculated and is shown each time you click on 'Check'.
The vocabulary that is being practiced is as follows:
-in a hurry-
-in a row-
-in a panic-
I hope it is helpful to you.
