Along with teaching my students the different verbs of after-school activities I have them practice using adverbs of frequency (always, frequently, sometimes, rarely, never). One of the handouts included is a speaking activity. It is a survey that the students must complete. They will ask each of their classmates how often they like to do each after-school activity (watch TV, listen to music, go on the computer, study, do chores, etc). I have my students write tally marks to indicate the answers they get. At the end of the survey I have them verbally form sentences about the information they received. The other handout is a writing practice. Students will be able to form complete sentences using the after-school activities and adverbs of frequency.
*This can be paired with my Adverbs of Frequency Board Game.
