This is an Advertisement for a Magazine Activity Template. This is a member of about 55 other activity templates that are based on the Multiple Intelligence Theory. This template focuses on the linguistic, interpersonal or intrapersonal and spatial intelligences. This template was designed as a cooperative learning activity but if you want the students to work individually, you can delete step one which states the student roles.
This template starts off like all the others in the series, with student roles; writer, reader, drawer, taskmaster and timekeeper. It then reminds the students to read the rubric. It gives a short explanation of what an advertisement is. In step four, the teacher must input the content the students must use. The advertisement must include a drawing and a slogan that goes along with the content to show understanding. Finally, the students are reminded to revise their slogan for grammar and spelling mistakes. Each of these steps has appropriate time limits to help guide the students and move then along. There is a rubric provided to help you grade.
