Students will act as an advice columnist at a newspaper. They are required to read a problem submitted by one of their readers. The reader is seeking advice on whether or not they should move closer to the Nile, Tigris, or Euphrates Rivers. Before students write their advice, they will need to do some research. They will be given a short text, in which they are responsible for identifying the pros and cons of living next to these rivers. Using the information they read about, students will then write a response, advising their reader on their move.
