Looking for an advisory lesson that is well-structured and incredibly useful? It's right here.
This is a one page lesson plan, complete with aim, do-now, instructional objective, modeling of activity, activity AND all eight (8) handouts for the activity. The focus of the lesson is "Conflict Resolution."
This lesson is structured in a way that it can be done once with eight groups of students, twice with four groups, four times with two groups... etc. It just depends on how you want to group your students and how many classes you want to dedicate to this lesson. If you have a 45 minute period, this lesson can easily last a full week if you want to do all of it.
I hope your students enjoy the organizers; I put a lot of work into them. I find this lesson gets good results because it involves a silent discussion (which is written, interesting, and fun). The silent discussion affords all students the opportunity to have their voices heard.
