These are the handouts that go along with the jigsaw activity that is described in the Aesop's Fable PowerPoint that is available for download. Students are placed in groups of four. On Day 1, students must pick to be either the fox, the wolf, the mouse, or the lion. They will then have to read three of Aesop's Fables that feature their animal. On Day 2, they will meet with the other students who also chose their animal. They will discuss their stories and will try to come up with common themes and character traits. On Day 3, they will meet back with their original group. They must choose their favorite fable to read. The other group members will then try to determine the theme, as well as the character traits. The "expert" will be able to confirm their ideas and/or add the results of the discussion with the "expert" group.
