Get your students engaged with demographic information, and creating their own maps! With this activity, students will use the CIA World Factbook to explore demographic information. They will work with a topic of their choice, and have a chance to visually see the great variation throughout the continent. By the end of the project, students will have collected demographic information, created a scale to represent the data, and created a choropleth or color progression map.
For this activity, students will need access to either the online or print version of the CIA World Factbook.
