This lesson, Africa: Morocco, incorporates innovative strategies to engage students in core math concepts, such as perimeter and area, through studying Moroccan rugs and their important cultural role.
1) Be able to calculate the area and perimeter of a rectangle.
2) Understand that the designs and colors of Moroccan rugs have significance and meaning.
