Product Description
I created and taught this unit for 2nd graders. It addresses a variety of communication topics, counting, colors, politeness, animals (safari) Shapes, (with a Story entitles A Triangle for Adaora) not included, but could be included or another African related tale one for older kids, that is right out of current daily African life. As well as "We all go on safari", a children's book that is easily found, again a similar African animal story could be substituted. I taught this unit in 30 minute segments over ten days, One page per day. The elementary aspect of this really is misleading, you could tailor the complexities of the activities, using more topic relevant and current activities. It addresses all the topics any beginning language speaker whatever the age.
