This is a great lesson plan that my students deeply enjoy!
Objective: Students will create a storybook/scrapbook to explain and apply the information they have learned about in relation to the Civil Rights Movement.
Students will create a 6 page storybook/scrapbook to explain how America changed during the Civil Rights Movement. Students will create a family scrapbook to explain events and movements that happened during the Civil Rights Movement. Each page will need a well-written paragraph explaining the pictures or events related to the pictures. Pictures can be hand drawn, cut out, or a mix. Students are expected to have historical facts written into their paragraphs. Students can get most of their information from the various Civil Rights books or internet sites.
