Each inventor has a biography page that includes a comprehension question and a "dig deeper" handout. Each handout focuses one of the following reading comprehension strategies - determine importance to find the main idea, synthesizing, asking questions and making personnel connections. These strategies will help readers develop deeper understandings of the contributions these inventors. There is also an opinion writing prompt that includes a brainstorming graphic organizer and essay writing paper.
