This set of twelve cards is designed to introduce kids to distinguished African American scientists with information, a research question, and a writing prompt.
Each card begins with brief information about the lives accomplishments of the scientist, and then adds an interesting question for students to research. This is followed up with a related writing prompt.
The cards are arranged three to a page and can be used in a number of ways. Assign one card per student, give a page to a group to work on together, or combine all of the pages for a Black History Month packet.
