Animal studies are fascinating and educational. Kids love our animal friends and love to draw them. Damon Reinagle utilizes basic, simple shapes to establish the ground work for drawing animal faces. Through step by step instruction, students can successfully create an animal face that they can paint or color in with oil pastels, crayons or colored pencils. My third graders draw these on 4” x 4” bisque tiles which I fire in the kiln. They turned out awesome as a group mural!
These African animal drawings teach young artists about symmetry, balance, shape, proportion and drawing technique!
