How to use:
Use puzzles in Centers
Use 8.5X11 posters for Classroom Books
Use for Language and Vocabulary Development (identifying animals)
Visual and analytical Skills Development while doing puzzles
Use for Team Building Skills (race to finish the puzzle)
Use in a Floor-Size Memory Game with two copies of each, or Naming Animals in the game Around the World (just cover the names with a sticky)
You can print each high-quality photograph onto 8.5X11 card stock. The photos have dashed lines to show you where to cut each photo into 12 separate puzzle pieces. Also, the same animals have a black and white (grey) 8.5X11 page to print as a mat for your young students as they complete the puzzles, and a full-colored 8.5X11 page of each animal that you can put in a file folder with the puzzle pieces or use for class games and a class book.
***Note*** Some of the photos have a white border around them. There was no way to totally make all the photos lay the same on the page unless I cropped parts of the animal out. Since I feel it's important for children to see the whole animal - head, body, feet, tail, etc...when possible, the best full body photos are used in this product.
Sometimes, it is just plain better to show the real object or a photo, rather than a cartoon illustration.
Each magnificent photo is labeled with the animal name in the corner.
