In this interactive flipbook, students will explore the political, religious, and geographic impacts of the Byzantine Empire by gathering information, labeling maps, drawing pictures, and answering reflection questions. There is a quiz and corresponding differentiated extension questions at the end of the activity to better meet the needs of all your students.
While the original version of the flipbook is aligned to the Human Heritage: A World History textbook, another version is available without page numbers in the directions and can be easily adapted to any textbook. (To assemble, teacher will need to fold and staple the flipbooks)
Also included is a Justinian Code of Law double-entry journal and a corresponding extension activity for advanced learners or early finishers.
