This presentation covers the age of European Exploration in the 15th - 18th centuries. It was created to be a companion to the Holt McDougal World History Book. It starts with the causes - such as acquiring spices - then covers the Portugese, including Prince Henry and Vasco De Gama before moving into Christopher Columbus. It then has a nice graphic of the Columbian Exchange. I put in two slides concerning Zheng He, a famous Chinese admiral who may have traveled to the "new world" as well. Next comes the treaty of Tordesillas, the explorations of Magellan, Cortes, And Spanish occupation of South America. There is a slide on the missions at the end, because I teach in California.
It's a solid presentation without too much text, but enough to get the key points across. Would be good with scaffolded notes.
