Students will write a persuasive speech using “Monroe’s Motivated Sequence” to convince the king and queen to fund their upcoming exploration based on your history and ideas. They are writing this speech like they are the explorer. The guidelines walk them through 3 days of research to complete. After writing the speech, there are step by step instructions in turning the speech into a Voki avatar. The speech can be downloaded as a QR code. We then took the QR codes and taped them around the football field track. Students used their phones/iPads and the included note taking guide to learn about all of the explorers.
