Age of Reform Propaganda Campaign
Each student is given a reading about one of seven reform movements from the 19th century Age of Reform:
2. Utopian Communities
3. Public Education
4. Prison/Asylum Reform
5. Temperance Movement
6. Abolition Movement
7. Women’s Rights Movement
Students then must create a persuasive image advocating for the message of their assigned reform. The poster could be handed in for a grade, or could be posted for a gallery walk to teach other students about the reform movements they did not learn about yet. It is completely up to you!
The project includes an instruction sheet and 7 secondary source readings – 1 for each movement.
