Once I started asking students to refer to timelines in the classroom, I realized how difficult it was for them to put periodization terms in the order in which they occurred. This is an important skill for students to develop in addition to answering correctly questions of history. Many of my students requested a timeline of historical ages so I created the following timeline for them. I provide this timeline at the beginning of the year so that students can refer to it, memorize it, and know it be the time we study it in class. I use it to teach time, events, and how to read a graph. I hope it is beneficial in your class as well.
