This set includes four signs for use in any classroom. The signs are designed to be used to enhance discussion of any subject. One sign has "STRONGLY AGREE" on it, another has "AGREE," another "STRONGLY DISAGREE," and the fourth "DISAGREE." The teacher puts one sign on each wall in the classroom (I put mine near the top and they stay up all year!) using tape, hot glue, or other preferred adhesive.
One example of their use: The teacher makes a statement related to something the class is discussing and then asks the students to stand up and move to the wall that has the word that describes how they feel about the statement. For example, if a student believes the statement is totally correct then she would stand by the wall with the "STRONGLY AGREE" sign on it. If another doesn't believe the statement is correct, but has a little doubt, then he would stand by the wall with the "DISAGREE" sign. After all students are standing near one of the signs, the students can talk about why they believe the way they do. This is a great way to enhance general discussions, class lectures, or even to check student understanding. There are, of course, other uses for the signs so BE CREATIVE!!
