Hello fellow educators! This presentation is for those World History teachers who need content and investigative lessons on the cultural, political, economic and historical consequences of the invention of agriculture, based on Pulitzer prize winning author Jared Diamond's arguments. It conforms to new state standards across the country. It contains several slides featuring recommended essential questions, warm ups, brief lecture notes, and a Socratic seminar debating the pros and cons of agriculture! The students love this debate! Please modify the lesson as needed for your needs and contact me with any questions. This lesson has been class tested and approved by students. Thank you!
