PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson is the first day of my chapter on cell membranes. It introduces students to the substances found in the cell membranes (phospholipids, protein channels, glycoproteins, receptors, and cholesterol) in a visually appealing, interesting way. Powerpoint includes many drawings and animations.

Once students finish taking guided notes, they complete an online activity identifying cell membrane molecules. (May be done as a whole class or as small groups, technology permitting.) Finally, students label a cell membrane with color and answer questions.
