Product Description
I'm an RTI interventionist in Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS), and our district uses the AIMSweb

tests to monitor our students' progress.

**This will not be very useful to you if you do not monitor Kindergartners or 1st graders in ELA and/or

math using AIMSweb**

**This is a zip file with all my math and ELA Aimsweb preparation powerpoints for Kindergarten and 1st grade, so scroll down to see the full descriptions of everything you will receive.

-----ELA K-1 Aimsweb prep-------------------------------------------------------

What you will receive is four PowerPoint presentations for Kindergarten and 1st grade, all of which are a daily practice for these three tests - Letter Name (LN), Letter Sound (LS), and Phoneme Segmentation (PS).

The main difference in the PowerPoints is their lengths, and the questions are mixed up so that they don't learn the pattern as easily. You might alternate which one you use on different days. Here are what you can expect from these files:

practice A - review of full alphabet, both capital and lowercase letters for LN, review of full alphabet with lowercase only for LS, and several words for phoneme segmentation, all of which show the word, then break the word apart - 156 slides

practice B - same as above, but in different orders to keep students from learning the patterns - 156 slides

practice C - same as above, except half the material (this one is a lot quicker, and can be used daily for a quick review) - 90 slides

practice D - material missing from practice C is here, and the material in practice C is missing from this one (switch back and forth between these two for quick reviews) - 90 slides

You can also mix the slides around yourself if you feel they are learning both PowerPoints.

These are fairly short PowerPoints (especially C and D), and they are intended to be so. We all know the attention spans of kindergartners, and this is just long enough to keep their interest. I recommend projecting it on a screen if possible (or just putting it on your computer screen), then moving through the PowerPoint with a wireless mouse or wireless pointer (or the arrow keys).

You can click to a particular section by starting the PowerPoint, then clicking, for example, "PS" on the screen with your mouse. Please note that these are the Aimsweb tests that Kindergartners and 1st graders will take:

Kindergarten
Fall - LN, LS
Spring - LN, LS, PS

1st grade
Fall - LS, PS
Spring - none of the above

I use this every day with my groups, and I have seen their scores improve. I hope it will help you too! :)

-----Math K-1 Aimsweb prep------------------------------------------------------

**The kindergarten PowerPoints work with numbers between 0 and 10 to match the AIMSweb assessment.
**The 1st grade PowerPoints work with numbers between 0 and 20 to match the AIMSweb assessment.

**This will not be very useful to you if you do not monitor kindergartners and/or 1st graders using AIMSweb**

What you will receive is four PowerPoint presentations---2 for kindergarten and 2 for 1st grade. Both presentations at each grade level are a quick daily practice for these three tests - Number Identification

(NI), Quantity Discrimination (QD), and Missing Number (MN). The only difference in the two PowerPoints at each grade level is that the questions are mixed up so that they don't learn the pattern as easily. You might alternate which one you use on different days. You can also mix the slides around yourself if you feel they are learning both PowerPoints.

Each of these is a fairly short PowerPoint, and it is intended to be so. We all know the attention spans of kindergartners and 1st graders, and this is just long enough to keep their interest. I recommend projecting it on a screen if possible (or just putting it on your computer screen), then moving through the PowerPoint
with a wireless mouse or wireless pointer (or the arrow keys).

I use it every day with mine, and I have seen their scores improve. I hope it will help you too! :)
