One of the hardest topics in German grammar seems to be active and passive voice. This unit approaches the topic in a more intuitive way since students do use the passive voice without realizing it. The different uses including manipulation through passive voice are elaborated. The unit starts with a comparison of the German active and passive voice with English, French, and Spanish. It also entails tables of the different times, a guide to build the passive voice, and open ended creative exercises. All solutions are included, as well as a reference table to the use of the passive voice in the indirect speech.
