Companies who produce and sell alcohol also sell the belief that alcohol is associated with fun, good times, and happy memories. Alcohol ads do not tell you the devastating effects alcohol can have. In Part 1 of this assignment, students are "hired" to create an advertisement that shows alcohol’s untold story. They will choose an actual alcohol ad showing a person/people having a good time. Their task is to show an after effect of alcohol on the person/one of the people/all of the people in the ad (it can be an immediate effect, such as a car accident, murder, etc, OR a long term effect such as liver damage, unemployment, etc). In Part 2 of the assignment, students will reflect on the actual ad as well as their own ad.
