Whether you call it aleph bet, alef bet, or aleph beis, Sephardic and Ashkenazic students learn rapidly with this activity. It's engaging, effective, and fun!!

Hebrew Flip-It is an engaging game consisting of one reproducible worksheet that IS the game board, played between two people (student and student or adult and student) or even by oneself as homework practice. Each page has cute clown clip art.

  • Use scissors to cut between each letter in the Hebrew column, which will create flaps of Hebrew letters.
  • Students roll regular dice or spin spinners, find the letter on their paper, say the name of the Hebrew letter aloud, and fold down that flap.
  • The winner is the first person to fold down all their flaps.

What a great center activity!

(Skills: alef beis, alef bais, kriya, kriyah)
