Story Retell Cards (page 5-7): Print, cut and laminate story retell cards. Attach cards to popsicle sticks for easy use.
Story Comprehension Cards (page 8-10): 17 cards included.
Terrible, Horrible, Not Good Synonyms (page 11-17): Place the three train cars together that make up the group of synonyms. Three activity sheets also included!
Categories (page 18-22): Print, cut and laminate all cards. Place all cards face down. Have students draw one card and read the words on the card. Identify the appropriate category and “give” the shoes to Alexander. Watch out! Alexander does not want white shoes!
Advice Column (Page 23): Write Alexander a letter in response to his bad day. Have your students give Alexander advice on how to have a GOOD day.
Character Description (page 24): After reading the story, complete the chart using words that describe Alexander.
Alexander Game Board (page 25): Open-ended game to accompany any therapy activity.
ADDED IN UPDATE: How do they feel? (page 26-30): Emotions matching game. Read the scenario on each card. Have the student match the scenario to an appropriate emotion. Complete the activity page for extra practice.
