---------------------

In this highly-engaging Alexander the Great activity, students analyze the life and times of Alexander the Great to answer the question: "is a hero or a villain?"

Students begin by examining song lyrics of a popular song to understand his role in history, then to a map analysis, and finally to four documents that paint an interesting picture of the man Alexander the Great.

As a culminating project, students take a side - was Alexander the Great a hero or a villain? Students complete the appropriate poster (included) to demonstrate their learning!
