Product Description
Alexis de Tocqueville wrote one of the most insightful books on American society after his travels through the USA in 1831. Amazingly his observations are hauntingly descriptive of today's America in many situations. This 800 word passage contains a general definition of Patriotism that hits the nail on the head. But, DeTocqueville defines patriotism in a second manner to explain how people continue working for the good of their country when affections of the heart fade.
.
