Product Description
PPT is to introduce students to Argentine poet, Alfonsina Storni. PPT contains a brief biografía for the poet. I use it as an introduction to her prior to reading "Tu me quieres blanca". Students are asked to predict what will be the main topic of the poem based on the title. It's in a ppt which gives you the flexibility of deleted slides.

Students also complete a KWL chart while viewing the PPT:

Afterwards students research what they wanted to know more about for HW or attend the library during class. This incorporates the use of technology and research in the target language. To further enhance the lesson, I have students share with the class their independent research. Students get two grades, one for research and another one for the oral presentation (speaking in the target language).

As a culminating activity and additional writing practices students write a short composition of three paragraphs; Introduction, body and closing. Student are allowed to use their notes to write the composition.

This lesson satisfies all modes; viewing, listening, reading, writing and speaking.
