This is a PowerPoint lesson that I use in my Algebra 1 classes to show the order of operations. It was developed to go with Section 1.2 of the Prentice Hall Algebra 1 textbook. It includes a really cute video of a younger class working out a problem that uses all the operations.
Note: I do NOT use PEMDAS! The majority of my students who have been taught with this acronym believe that multiplication always comes before division and addition always comes before subtraction.
