Product Description

I use this to review writing the equations of lines with my Algebra 1 classes. It includes finding the equation given two points; given the slope and a point; parallel to a given line and through a given point; and perpendicular to a given line and through a given point. An answer sheet and instructions are included.

I use relays to review for lots of subjects. The students think that they are playing a game and try hard to get the correct answers so that their team can "win".

*Common Core Standards:*

G-GPE 5. Prove the slope criteria for parallel and perpendicular lines and use them to solve geometric problems (e.g., find the equation of a line parallel or perpendicular to a given line that passes through a given point).

Previous California Standard for Algebra 1:

8.0 Students understand the concepts of parallel lines and perpendicular lines and how those slopes are related. Students are able to find the equation of a line perpendicular to a given line that passes through a given point.
