Product Description
Students love having a scavenger hunt to review!

This is a scavenger hunt used to review writing the equations of lines given the slope and y-intercept; given the slope and a point contained in the line; given two points on the line; and parallel/perpendicular to a given line and containing a given point.

This scavenger hunt is a little different than most. In this one, the students are given all the problems at one time. They must determine the correct equation with the information that is given, then they must match that equation to the GRAPH of the equation.

Instructions are included. Also included is a worksheet that can be used as homework to reinforce finding equations of lines and graphing those linear equations.

Common Core Standards:
Create equations that describe numbers or relationships.
A-CED 2. Create equations in two or more variables to represent relationships between quantities; graph equations on coordinate axes with labels and scales.

F-IF 8. Write a function defined by an expression in different but equivalent forms to reveal and explain different properties of the function.

Previous California Standard for Algebra 1:
7.0 Students verify that a point lies on a line, given an equation of the line. Students are able to derive linear equations using the point-slope formula.
