Product Description
This is a PowerPoint lesson that shows the students the Binomial Theorem, how to use it to expand binomial expressions, and how to find a special term of a binomial expansion. Pascal's Triangle is also discussed. It was designed to teach Section 6.6 of Prentice Hall's CA Algebra 2 textbook.

Common Core Standard A-APR-5
5.(+) Know and apply the Binomial Theorem for the expansion of (x + y)n in powers of x and y for a positive integer n, where x and y are any numbers, with coefficients determined for example by Pascal’s Triangle.

This lesson addresses the CA Standard for Algebra 2 20.0.
20.0 Students know the binomial theorem and use it to expand binomial expressions that are raised to positive integer powers.

NOTE: Math Type 5.0 was used to create this lesson.
