**What are Spiral Assessments?**

Spiral Assessments are designed to continuously assess student learning on all standards they have learned. Each week, new standards are added to the weekly quizzes as students learn new skills. This way of assessing student knowledge gives the teacher a true perspective of how each student is doing on all the material that has been covered (not just one skill). Plus, by revisiting standards week after week, students get more than one opportunity to show what they know and what they still need to work on.

**Why Teachers Love Them!**

☺ Spiral Assessments are the perfect way to quickly assess students each week without taking up too much time or being overwhelming.

☺ These quizzes "touch" on new skills while reviewing previously taught standards.

☺ Teachers can use these as weekly grades to show student progress.

☺ The data can be used to decide what skills need to be readdressed or retaught.

☺ Spiral Assessments allow students to be assessed multiple times on a skill so that they can show growth.

☺ Teachers can easily see where students are still struggling on a regular basis

☺ It's 100% EDITABLE - change questions or wording to differentiate and fit your students' needs.

☺ Teachers find students need almost NO test-prep before standardized testing when using this resource all year.

**Using this resource with Spiral Math Homework**

I HIGHLY recommend using these spiral weekly math assessments with my spiral math homework system. They are both directly aligned with each other and work together to help reinforce and assess math concepts all year. If your goal is to keep math standards fresh all year without having to spend a lot of time reteaching and reviewing, this system is for you.**To learn more about my Spiral Math Homework CLICK HERE**
