Description
These bell ringers are designed to be used with Algebra 1 students.
Included is one set of 10 practice exercises that review basic math and algebra skills.
Topics include (but are not limited to) percents, scientific notation, multiplying mixed numbers, rounding, absolute value, and more.
Each exercise should only take 3-5 to complete and should be able to be completed with no (or very limited) instruction from the teacher.
So many students struggle with basic math skills, and that lack of skills causes real problems as they move into pre-algebra and higher math. These practice exercises will help your students improve in basic skills without taking hardly any time from your class.
Use these exercises as bellwork at the start of class. Your students should be able to do them with little or no instruction from you, leaving you time to take attendance, speak with students, or deal with other administrative tasks.
