Wouldn't it feel good to have everything done and ready to go for the first unit of the year? This digital interactive notebook has EVERYTHING you need to be ready for hybrid or distance learning. With 9 topics, 32 videos, and 59 interactive student practice slides that are all self-checking you cannot go wrong! Additionally, there are 32 PDF pages of optional student notes included that perfectly match the examples given in the videos so students can follow along and take notes at home if they need additional structure compared to just taking notes in a notebook. These PDF pages can be printed for students, or students can fill them out digitally with a plugin like Kami from home. These are also perfect for those of you who are in a hybrid setting because you can demonstrate the topic yourself instead of using the provided videos, and use the PDF as a physical set of notes in addition to the digital interactive notebook! They are super flexible for you to use (or not) however best suits your needs.
This Google Slides digital interactive notebook unit was developed with the feedback of 9 other amazing math teachers who volunteered time out of their summer to test out the resource and make sure that it would mimic a true interactive notebook as authentically as possible.
- 9 topics of study
- 32 videos to cover all of the instruction and information (you don’t even have to teach if you don’t want to! I won’t tell )
- 32 PDF pages of optional guided notes for you to give to students to fill out while watching the videos. They can use a plugin like Kami to fill it out digitally or (or you can just have them take notes on notebook paper while watching the videos, too).
- 59 student Google Slides filled with worked examples and activities for students to practice and 53 additional slides for students to easily check their work!

I have taken the paper version of my Unit 1 Interactive Notebook Kit lessons and have transformed them into something truly magnificent for distance learning that is far robust than the original paper version, with videos and activities to supplement the learning. While developing this unit, it was of the utmost importance to me to make sure that the digital activities served a value to the student learning process and were not simply digital activities for the sake of being digital. As a result, they are wonderfully engaging!
(Secret time, shh!) I'm not necessarily saying that you should (ha!), but I developed this unit where you literally would not have to do one single thing after assigning this to your students. I made sure to take care of every little detail and have provided extensive videos to cover every aspect of each topic's instruction! Of course, it would be great to be able to demonstrate the concepts yourself, but we're all in different situations for learning this year and I wanted to seriously cover EVERYTHING for you!
The examples included in each topic match the same examples from the paper bundle for this unit! If you already own and love that bundle, this is a wonderful companion!

Although it may be a nice complement to this resource, not one single resource needs students to write on the screen with a plug-in like Kami! Not every student has a touch screen laptop/iPad, and writing on a phone or with a computer mouse gets extremely exhausting after a while. For that reason, on principle, I was determined to create all of the activities in such a way that students did not need to rely on any outside apps or plugins. I've developed the activities so students can type, drag and drop, match and more, all within Google Slides!
