Algebra 1 EOC STAAR | Using Boom Cards to Practice Free Response Questions

This Boom Learning Bundle was designed to help students that will be taking the online version of the Algebra STAAR test. Even more specifically, it was designed to build confidence on the fill-in-the-blank problems. Did you know there are 5 fill-in-the-blank questions on the EOC exam each year? There are certain TEKS used on these types of questions. The TEKS covered in this resource which are typically used on the free response questions are 2D, 3B, 3C, 3E, 5A, 7A, 7C, 8A, 9D, 11B, 12B.

Each activity comes with reminders on how to write answers and a quick review of the content. After that, the student will do 3 or 4 self-checking questions. The first activity is the longest with 8 self-checking questions. Do the decimal practice activity first, then do the rest in any order you see fit.

The format for this resource is from Boom Learning. There are 12 activities in this bundle. Each activity is short except for the first one which is designed to refresh decimals and practice how to write the answers correctly. If you have never used Boom Cards before, you are in for a treat. The Boom Cards are self-checking and fun. Use these activities as bell ringers, quick reviews, assignments or quizzes.
