This packet includes leveled practice problems (easy - hard) on the main components of the three types of functions that dominate Algebra 1 - linear, exponential and quadratic. Also includes an answer key with worked out solutions.
I am assigning this to my students as a marking period wrap-up project and a transitional activity between our last formal unit (quadratics) and the beginning of Regents review. I created 10 pages worth of practice material on the following topics, all at an Algebra 1 level:
Linear Functions: Graphing, Writing, Solving and Identifying
Quadratic Functions: Graphing, Writing, Solving and Identifying
Exponential Functions: Graphing, Writing, Evaluating and Identifying
Extension: Graphing Non Linear Systems (includes quadratic-linear, absolute value-linear, and absolute value - quadratic)
You can use this product as is, and give students a good chunk of time to work through every page. I plan to give my students 4 class days to complete it. You could also pick out one or more pages to use at a time, as you hit those topics either through review or introductory instruction. Many of the problems are real Regents questions, and the rest I wrote while closely consulting the Regents to ensure my problems are appropriately rigorous.
