Product Description
This is a foldable designed for interactive math notebooks.

This foldable is very similar to the other quadratic foldable, however the front is focused on the steps for calculating the roots.

This foldable walks students through the steps of graphing a quadratic function. There are two blank charts available for you to choose your own quadratic functions and list them through the boxes. A *SAMPLE* set of equations has been included in the answer key if you choose to use them. However, any quadratic function can be used for this sheet.

1. Line up the function under the standards form of the equation.
2. Determine the a, b, and c values
3. Based on the a value, determine whether the graph will face upwards or downwards
4. Based on the direction of the graph, students will choose whether there will be a minimum or a maximum
5. Students will then calculate the axis of symmetry (plenty of room given for this)
6. Students will then use the axis of symmetry to calculate the vertex.
7. The vertex is then placed in the middle of the table with x values increasing and decreasing at a constant rate
8. The rest of the y values will be calculated
9. The students then create their own axes based on the table of values
10. The parabola is graphed, as well as the axis of symmetry
11. The x-intercepts are circled and the roots are listed
