This activity contains 15 cards with either a linear equation, a graph of a linear equation, a scenario describing a linear equation, or a chart describing a linear equation.
Distribute a complete set of the 15 cards to a group of 2-4 students. The students, working together, must sort the cards into groups that describe the same situation. In other words, the equation, graph, scenario and tabular data describe the same linear relationship.
Once students have completed their sorting of the linear relationships, have students share with other groups why they connected their cards.
Then have students fill in the missing representations so there are four representations for each linear relationship.
